Ms Fezile Mthunzi
I completed my Bsc Microbiology undergraduate degree at the University of Pretoria in 2016. I continued to do my Bsc (Hons) degree in Microbiology at the same University under the Forestry and Biotechnology Institite (FABI) which I completed in 2017. My honours research focussed on investigating whether the species Ophiostoma ulmi and Ophiostoma novo-ulmi were the same species using multiple gene analysis.
I immediately set off with my MSc degree in the department of Biochemistry, Genetics and Microbiology. I am currently working on characterising terpene synthase genes in several Armillaria fungal species.
