I have an extensive history working for FABI as a fieldwork assistant on termites and polyphagous shot-hole borer. I completed my master's dissertation on the effect of rearing diet on the development, nutrition, and microbial content of Acheta domesticus. During this time I served in SIRG as a science communicator and beekeeper leading to a deep understanding of honeybee development, managing colonies, and rearing honeybee pests. My interests, therefore, focus on insect rearing and the associated lab work. This led me to the very fulfilling position at FABI's biocontrol facility where I rear insects relevant to forestry and agricultural industries, which often includes quarantine organisms.
