FABIans contribute to special issues in two scientific journals commemorating the International Year of Plant Health 2020-12-13
The United Nations has declared 2020 the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH), in recognition of the urgent need for greater global collaboration to protect plant health.
FABI and the University of Pretoria are leading global centres of excellence in scientific research, training and innovation in plant health. We partner closely with industry, government and other academic partners worldwide on this topic. During the IYPH, FABI has been abuzz with plant health related activities and outputs, including research, training, plant health services, seminar series, conferences, workshops and outreach events. You can see more here.
The focused IYPH2020 research outputs include a number of contributions from FABIans to two special issues in locally managed, international, rated peer reviewed journals, namely the South Africa Journal of Science (SA J Sci) and Southern Forests. In total FABIans contributed 15 articles, reviews and commentaries to these special issues.
The special issue of the SA J Sci is open access and can be accessed here.
The special issue of Southern Forests will appear in December and will be available here.
