The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment has published the State of the Forests Report: 2018 South Africa. This report includes the forestry pest and disease related research activities of the Tree Protection Co-operative Programme (TPCP) in FABI. The State of the Forests report, produced every three years to meet the requirements of the National Forests Act of 1998 (Act No. 84 of 1998), seeks to present facts and trends on all types of forests as well as the performance of the commercial forests sector and, as far as possible, its value-chains.
