Dr David Read and Dr Tanay Bose, postdoctoral Fellows in the Grain Research Programme (GRP) and Tree Protection Co-operative Programme (TPCP) at FABI, have each been awarded a Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship by the University of Pretoria. Both are currently affiliated with the Department of Biochemistry, Genetics, and Microbiology in the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences.

The Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship, awarded by the University of Pretoria’s Department of Research and Innovation, provides an invaluable opportunity for recipients to delve deeper into their respective fields of study and make substantial contributions to the scientific community. Over the course of their fellowship, Drs Read and Bose will concentrate on their research on plant virology and tree microbiomes, respectively.
