FABI has launched its annual Blanket Collection campaign and aims to collect 200 blankets this year. We appeal to every FABIan to donate at least one blanket that will see us realize our target.

Charity drives and social awareness is an important part of FABI’s annual events calendar and gives people pause to think of those less fortunate than they are and in need. First launched in 2009, FABI has over the past seven years collected hundreds of blankets that have been distributed to numerous charitable organisations, including The Ark Nursery School, the Mamelodi Nursery School, and the beneficiaries of The Salvation Army. This year, like in 2014, FABI again joins forces with the TuksFM blanket initiative that forms part of their We Care community outreach programme.

Blankets can be dropped off in the FABI reception area or cash donations of R50 per blanket can be made to Prof Noelani van den Berg. With winter fast approaching, let’s take this opportunity to spread some warmth to those less fortunate members of the community.
