Dr. Sandra Denham, a senior research scientist and project leader from the United Kingdom’s Forest Research, visited FABI in November while attending the Institute’s Advanced Phylogenetics Workshop. Sandra was joined by research assistant Andy Griffiths and Sarah Plummer.

Sandra is a long time collaborator with FABI and has lived in the UK for 15 years having been born and educated in South Africa.  Sandra joined Forest Research in 2003 as a tree pathologist specialising in Phytophthora diseases and oak declines. While attending the course she also took the opportunity to visit the FABI Biocontrol Facility at the University of Pretoria’s Research Precinct.
