PSANA, the Postgraduate Students Association for the Natural and Agricultural Sciences, recently launched a Community Service Portfolio in an effort to help the greater Pretoria community. Their first project was successfully completed when they took bags and tins of food, toys, blankets and beds to the SPCA in Waltloo to help them through a particularly difficult part of the year. All of this, along with second hand items to be sold in their charity shop and more than R1000 in cash, was donated by the staff and students of the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences. FABI participated in the drive and collectively donated a fantastic amount of food for the dogs and cats as well as items to be sold. We’re sure that the SPCA is very grateful for the donation and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated.
