The whole year's work depends on a good start in spring, and the work for the year is best begun in spring. On 31 March the CERC-FABI Tree Protection Programme (CFTPP) Team members at CERC had a relatively long walk from the CERC offices to the CERC nursery. “This 40 km walk is a kind of team building - we wanted to show our courage and willpower to move forward over a long distance,” the team leader, Dr ShuaiFei Chen said.

FABI PhD candidate Ms. JieQiong Li said, I have never walked such a long distance! I’m very happy to be at the end of the journey, though my feet and legs hurt”. ShuaiFei says that he thinks that everyone enjoyed the long walk, especially those members who have never walked such a long distance. “It’s a great exercise and we are planning to walk again in the summer.”
