The University of Pretoria's Department of Zoology and Entomology held its annual general meeting on 28-29 November. At this meeting, Honours, MSc and PhD student are invited to present a talk about the research they conduct. This, year, the best MSc presentation was awarded to Christoff Joubert and the best PhD presentation went to Quentin Guignard - both students in FABI. The universal ranking by academic performance ranked the Department of Zoology and Entomology as the top institute for these fields in Africa for 2018-19. Having FABIans recognised by this highly-ranked institution demonstrates how excellent the research quality is in FABI.
