CSIR Synthetic Biology centre manager invites FABIans to collaborate 2020-03-12
The Manager of the Centre for Synthetic Biology and Precision Medicine at the CSIR, Dr Deepak Balaji Thimiri Govinda Raj invited FABIans to collaborate with the Centre’s researchers during a presentation at the Monday Morning Meeting. The Centre was established at the CSIR under his supervision and will be focusing on three main fields of research: Cancer precision medicine, industrial synthetic biology and gene therapy using SynBac-CRISPR protein expression techniques. Dr Govinda Raj has significant experience in these fields having completed his PhD at VIB and IMEC Belgium. He was a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow recipient at EMBL Grenoble before being employed as a senior scientist at NCMM-EMBL Oslo.
