I am a first year MSc Biotechnology student investigating the prevalence of the slow wilting (SW) trait among South Africans soybean cultivars. This entails evaluating SA cultivars' responses to drought stress and determining whether any SW DNA markers are present. My research contributes to the development of markers for marker assisted selection for drought tolerance in SA soybean cultivars.
