I have completed my degree in BSc Genetic in 2023. During the course of my degree I took MBY modules that gave me exposure to world of laboratory work and I fell in love immediately. I am currently busy with my Microbiology (Hons) degree, with the purpose to do masters and phd as well. My research project will focus on the identification of ambrosia symbionts of several ambrosia beetles and also to determine if these fungal symbionts are pathogenic to Macadamia trees, under the supervision of Dr. Gerda Fourie.
