I am currently undertaking an internship at FABI, driven by my passion for plant health research and sustainable agricultural practices. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with specialization in Agricultural Economics and Agronomy from North-West University, I completed a research project focused on post-harvest storage measures of potatoes, specifically investigating the effect of SmartBlock, a growth regulator that controls sprouting in potatoes during storage, on the physiological growth of potato.

Throughout my academic journey, I also gained extensive knowledge in agronomy, with a focus on winter and summer grain crops, including wheat, maize, rye, oats, and soya. Consequently, I have developed a strong interest in grains and grain research. I am excited about the prospect of contributing to initiatives that address economic implications of pest and disease threats, support sustainable agricultural development, and advance grain research. My interests align with the internship's focus on plant health, biosecurity, and grain research, and I am eager to integrate my academic knowledge with practical experience in these areas.
