I am a doctoral student in the field of agronomy, and I am studying under the primary supervision of Dr. Robert Mangani
I received my Master's degree in Plant Breeding in 2018, at The University of Ibadan. My MSc thesis was titled "Genetic Variation for Plant Architecture, response to Cassava Mosaic Disease (CMD) and beta-carotene content among Cassava Genotypes in Two Breeding Populations''. The results of this study found several cassava genotypes with high CMD resistance and beta-carotene content that could serve as candidates (from the seedling evaluation stage) for further breeding selection trials.
Currently, I am working on my PhD project titled "Exploring The Present and Future Adaptability of Cassava Cultivation in South Africa's Landscape''. This study aims to assess the suitability of cassava cultivation on several South African landscapes by determining the adaptability of cassava genotypes under diverse environmental and management conditions through multi-location trials. It will go further to calibrate and validate APSIM-Cassava and DSSAT-Cassava models to simulate cassava growth, development, and yield in South Africa
