I completed my undergraduate degree in Human Physiology and Microbiology in 2024. During my time in the CPHB-FABI mentorship program, I realized that the human side of biology wasn’t for me—I was far more drawn to agricultural research. I am currently pursuing my Honours in Microbiology, focusing on the functional characterization of avocado NLR genes involved in the defense response against Phytophthora cinnamomi, a major pathogen affecting avocado production.
