I started my journey in FABI in 2024 during the final year of my BSc Genetics and Microbiology (dual major) degree. I was part of the CPHB-FABI mentorship program and I was mentored by Jenna-Lee Price who is a PhD student that works on Pseudopithomyces toxicarius.

I subsequently graduated in 2024 in my dual major degree and I am now pursuing a BSc (Hons) degree in Microbiology under the supervision of Dr Neriman Yilmaz. My research project entails the investigation of the genetics of sexual reproduction in Pseudopithomyces toxicarius and this will shed light on the diversity of Pseudopithomyces toxicarius.
