I am currently busy with my BScHons in Genetics degree. I am working under the supervision of Prof Eshchar Mizrachi and my research project for 2025 is: “Flames to Flowers: decoding the role of smoke in King Protea seed germination”. The project aims to investigate the extent to which smoke primer stimulates seed germination in Protea cynaroides and to optimize RNA extraction from the seedlings for transcriptome-wide analysis.
