FABI said goodbye to Rianie van der Linde at the Monday Morning Meeting on 4 September as she retired from her post as a Librarian at the University of Pretoria at the end of August. Rianie was praised by both FABI Director Prof. Bernard Slippers as well as the founding Director Prof Mike Wingfield for her unwavering dedication to assisting the Institute’s students and researchers. Rianie was FABI’s dedicated librarian for the past seven years, spending Mondays in FABI assisting with any enquiries library users may have after first attending Monday Morning Meeting. She was also responsible for setting up the dedicated library page on the FABI website and made this professionally organised and easy to use. Rianie also recently catalogued and digitized the Mike Wingfield Library book collection.
