Sarah Wild, multiaward-winning science journalist, published an extensive article on the combat against the pine-killing Sirex wood wasp in this week's Mail & Guardian. The research is led by Prof. Bernard Slippers and Dr Brett Hurley of the TPCP research group in FABI, in collaboration with the ICFR and South African forestry industry. The article by Sarah forms part of her research for a book project to be published this year by the Gordon Institute of Business Science and Pan Macmillan South Africa. She visited FABI recently during the preparation for the article.
