During the week of 22-26 October, FABI hosted a workshop on metagenomic and metatransciptomic analyses. This workshop was coordinated by Dr Tuan Duong and Dr Almuth Hammerbacher and was presented by Dr Maria Vivas (FABI), Dr Matin Kemler (Ruhr-University Bochum), and Dr Richard Allen White III (Washington State University). The workshop was attended by 24 participants from various departments linked to FABI, the Department of Medical Microbiology at the University of Pretoria, and Stellenbosch University. This is one of the workshops in a series that FABI organises to provide training to researchers and students from FABI and other institutions in South Africa and the region.
