I completed my degree in Bsc. Microbiology in 2019 at The University of Pretoria. In 2020 I completed my BSc(Hons) degree in Microbiology which was focused on white root rot in macadamia trees caused by Rosellinia necatrix.
Currently I am enrolled as a MSc student in the Macadamia Protection Programme under primary supervision of Dr. Gerda Fourie. My current work is focussed on characterisation of flower blight causal agents specifically Botrytis cinerea, Cladosporium cladosporoides and Neopestalotiopsis/Pestalotiopsis on macadamia trees in South Africa. I will also be testing industry recommended fungicides for their efficacy against the common causal agents of flower blight.
