I obtained a BSc (Life and Environmental Science) specializing in Botany and Biochemistry at the University of Johannesburg. I also completed a BSc Hons in Botany. I recently completed a MSc in Plant Biotechnology at Stellenbosch University. My research project for my masters focused on the identification of olive lace bugs and olive flea beetles associated with olive orchards using molecular techniques. Currently, I am a PhD student working on aphids associated maize. My research interests are broad but I am particularly interested in insects associated with plants.
