FABI hosted a delegation of four senior representative of the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN) on 16 April. The group included Prof. Ketlhatlogile Mosepele (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Samodimo Ngwako (Dean: Research & Graduate Studies), Mr Kealeboga Pifelo (Director: Business Development) and Mr Kabelo Mosarwe (Executive Coordinator – Office of the Vice Chancellor). This is the second visit by members of the Executive to the University of Pretoria and FABI, the first having been in April 2022. The group was hosted at FABI by the Director, Prof. Bernard Slippers, and Deputy Director, Prof. Fanus Venter, for a meeting, along with several other members of the University of Pretoria, to discuss opportunities for further collaboration between the two Universities. The group then met with University of Pretoria Interim Vice Chancellor and Principal, Prof. Themba Mosia to further discuss these opportunities between the two academic institutions.

The group concluded their visit to UP with lunch in the FABI courtyard and a tour of the Institute’s facilities.
