I completed my Honours degree in Microbiology, under the supervision of Dr. Neriman Yilmaz-Visagie. My project looked at the diversity and entomopathogenic potential of Fusarium species against the Eucalyptus snout beetle (Gonipterus sp. n. 2) in South Africa.
I am currently completing my Masters degree under the primary supervision of Dr. Neriman Yilmaz-Visagie and the co-supervision of Prof. Cobus Visagie and Prof. Mike Wingfield. My project will look at Ear rot of Maize crops in the Eastern Cape as well as the prevalence of mycotoxins within this crop.

FABI celebrated the completion of training of 18 mentorship students in the CPHB and TPCP.
Members of the FABI Grain Research Programme team, conducted field work at Eastern Cape maize farms from 13-17 March.
